It is estimated there are over 14 million Americans who have gone through the naturalization process.
Becoming American has grown into a large body of documentary photographs from its early period in 2005 when I attended my first ceremony. I have documented ceremonies where immigrants become naturalized American citizens, and during this time, I have also made portraits of naturalized citizens and included text of their personal stories.
I welcome collaboration in selecting site specific exhibits or publications.
