“ I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and have been a US citizen for 43 years. I came to the United States when I was five and became a citizen at age 12. I remember my parents being very excited that I passed the naturalization test and I remember studying for it. I remember taking an oath and taking the test orally. I think if I was older I would appreciate the struggle more. I grew up in New York City and live in Boston, Massachusetts.”
